This week I wanted to stray from the normal ‘make sure that you know this’ kind of feel. Instead, I just want to talk about what is on my mind. It’s summer and that means great activities and of course, vacations. Beaches, the mountains, cookouts, pool parties. It brings people together, right? You have family over. Family isn’t just your Mom, Dad, Aunts and Uncles, though. Who your family truly is, is an idea and belief. My family is naturally my immediate, but also my friends. Recently, I have started to add a new type of family: Robbins’ Rehab.
I know it sounds downright cliché for the writer of Robbins’ to say that, but it’s true nonetheless. If you’ve ever had physical therapy with us you understand what I mean here. You walk through the door and everyone is talking to each other: the patients to the PTs and the PTs to their patients, even patient to patient. And it’s not all about physical therapy either. You get a good sense of what I mentioned earlier. Family. Unity. Friendliness and good times. Sure, Robbins’ Rehabilitation isn’t a BBQ or a water park, but it is still a great time. You can go anywhere for physical therapy. We know that. But if you value friendships, laughs, good times, family, AS WELL AS physical therapy and getting better, where else would you go?
I have personally never required physical therapy yet. I have however, seen quite a few clinics in my travels. I don’t mean to slander the competition in any way, but they seemed drab. I hope that’s a good word to describe them to you. Drab. My stepfather needed physical therapy from a local PT establishment and each and every time that I took him to his session, I handed him off to a different physical therapist, aide, or assistant. I just thought that was how it was supposed to be, but then I started working here and all of that changed for me in the blink of an eye. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else for physical therapy for my family. My family is my friends, my immediate, and you. When you’re here with us, that’s what you become. We have acquired an amazing family with all of you over the years. If you need physical therapy, we are here for you and we will continue to be there for you even after you leave our walls. Thank you for reading, friends. Be well and enjoy being pain free!!
